This shoot was an on-location in Joshua Tree National Park. This couple consists of Dusty, a firefighter, and Brittany is a student finishing her master's degree in Psychology. Despite being a part of very serious and intense careers, these two are a bundle of energy and fun! 
This shoot was gold and glitter gorgeous-ness, which, if you've been following me for a while, you know is RIGHT UP MY ALLEY. I loved the glitter moments brought in by in the disco ball and/or Brittanys' outfits. The whitewashed and almost minimal background of the desert allowed for these elements to really pop and accentuate the subjects. Being in broad daylight and transitioning into golden hour, it tied together with the bohemian glow look that would make Kacey Musgraves jealous. Dusty and Brittany were effortless, their brand of love for each other is marked by fun and laughter, which is obvious in the photos. Their smiles and the soft looks they shared are genuine, their laughter is something you could see just in their eyes if I ever decided to crop out their smiles! It's a full-body smile. These two were so interactive with me, they were ready to try anything and any awkwardness was confronted with scream-singing and dancing!  Each couple is different; this one has a love and presence so warm that you can’t help being sucked in by it. I felt inside their love story while shooting this and that they welcomed me in! It was like being outside in the cold and then someone invited me into their home, I could see the glow from the windows and it drew me in! That feeling like, once you step through the door, the way the warmth wraps around you, it instantly feels like home no matter where you are, that's the Dusty and Brittany glow. What you see in this shoot is what you get; they're a bright, shiny, glittery love that doesn't take itself too seriously. If these shoots could serve as a predictor of the type of marriages people will have, then Dusty and Brittany will be that cute 80-year-old couple still making dirty jokes and pinching each other's bums in the kitchen; The type where love and laughter are the only currencies that matter.
